• Ethel Hunter - Senior Pastor

    Hunter has earned a Master of Divinity, with a concentration in Church Ministry in the Digital Age from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va. She also holds a Master of Arts in Education from The University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

    She was assigned pastor of the Grace Fellowship Church of God of Prophecy in Oxford in 2022, following an 18-year tenure, first as a minister and then as an associate pastor for the church. A retired educator, she was employed with the Vance County Schools System as an English teacher at Northern Vance High School and a language arts teacher at Eaton-Johnson Middle School. She was also employed as a news reporter and community news editor for the Henderson Daily Dispatch. Additionally, she was a news reporter for WPTF Radio in Raleigh, specializing in news developments in both education and city/state government.

    Hunter and her husband, Earl are the proud parents of two adult children, Tiffany and Jonathan (Jezreel).
